The Marching Blazers are hard at work preparing for one of the most highly anticipated moments in UAB history. With #TheReturn of UAB Football, our band will not only sound our best—we will look our best—when  the UAB Blazers take on the Alabama A & M Bulldogs at Legion Field on Saturday, September 2, 2017. 

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’ve raised $50,095 toward our goal of $70,000 to fund new uniforms for the Marching Blazers. To be ready for #TheReturn, we need to hit our goal by midnight on Friday, March 31. 

                                Together, we can do this.

             Here’s how we’ll thank you for your support:

• Everyone who makes a gift will receive a personal thank-you from the UAB Marching Blazers (photo) 
• The first 20 people to make a gift of $100 to $249 will receive a retired UAB shako and plume—that’s the hat with the feather on top (photo).
• The first 10 people to make a gift of $250 or more will receive a retired UAB band uniform jacket (photo). 
• The first person to make a gift of $1,000 or more will receive a handcrafted pillow made from a retired UAB uniform jacket (photo).

*Incentives will be handled by the Annual Giving Office after the close of the project.  All gifts will be designated to the Sue Samuels Marching Band Excellence Fund which goes to the area of greatest need (which at the time is uniforms).
